NFL Monday Night Football Pick 10-26-2009

October 26, 2009 at 8:53 pm ET by

My NFL Monday Night Football pick for 10-26-2009 is:

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins – 8:30pm ET

1* on Washington Redskins +9.5 (-115)

I waited as long as I could to bet this, as I really wanted to get +10. But I’ll settle for +9.5, as I think this game is decided by a TD or less. The Redskins have truly looked pathetic offensively, but the ‘Skins can play some D. Most people think that the Eagles will win in a blowout because of the embarrassment they suffered last week at Oakland. The truth is that this Eagles team is not as good as most people think. They played one good team this season (the Saints) and got hammered. Their wins came against some of the worst teams in the league (KC, TB, CAR). And they lost on the road at Oakland to a Raiders team that looks to be among the worst, if not THE worst, in the league. These division rivals know each other well and that normally leads to a tight contest. Say what you want about Jim Zorn, but he did sweep the Eagles last season. I’ll grab the generous points with the home pup tonight.
